Module 1

Hypnotherapy Foundations
Understanding the mind, hypnosis and human behaviour

This module establishes the theoretical foundations of clinical hypnotherapy.  It explores what hypnosis is, how it works, and the key theories that inform modern practice.  Historical context and core principles of the mind are examined to support a clear understanding of how perception, behaviour, and change are influenced at a subconscious level. 


Module 2 

Relaxation, Breath and Imagination
Understanding the physiological and mental states for change

This module focuses on the role of breath, relaxation, and imagination in facilitating therapeutic states.  Emphasis is placed on creating calm, focused awareness and supporting inward attention, which underpins effective hypnotherapy work and supports responsiveness to therapeutic intervention.


Module 3

Signs, Ethics and Professional Responsibility
Working within clinical and ethical boundaries

Understand professional responsbility in clinical hypnotherapy practice.  It covers recognition of trance and altered states, consideration of contraindications, and ethical decision-making.  The focus is on maintaining appropriate boundaries, professional judgement, and responsible practice within scope.


Module 4

Hypnotherapy Inductions
Facilitating therapeutic trance states

Explore the principles of hypnotic inductions, trance deepening and session completion.  A range of induction approaches are examined, including traditional, rapid, indirect, and age-appropriate methods, with attention to adaptability and professional application across client presentations.



Module 5

Pre-Talk, Rapport and Interviewing
Establishing therapeutic alliance and session structure

Focus on the foundations of effective client engagement.  We cover pre-talk frameworks, rapport development, and structured interviewing approaches that support clarity, collaboration, and effective session flow within hypnotherapy practice.


Module 6

Writing Effective Hypnosis Scripts
Using language to support subconscious change

Introduction to the principles of hypnotic language, suggestion design, ego strengthening, and metaphor.  It suppports the development of clear, purposeful scripts that align with therapeutic intent and communicate effectively with the subconscious mind.


Module 7

Hypnotic Interventions and Change Work
Applying hypnotherapy techniques in practice

Explore a broad range of hypnotic protocols used to support change.  Approaches include metaphor, visualisation, belief-focused work, parts integration, reframing, regression-based methods, and future-oriented techniques.  Emphasis is placed on selecting and applying interventions appropriately to client goals.


Module 8 

Self-Hypnosis and Client Integration
Empowering clients beyond the session

Learn the use of self-hypnosis and between-session integration strategies. Including how to support ongoing change, reinforcing therapeutic outcomes, and incorporating structured practices the complement in-session hypnotherapy work.





Module 9

Issue-Specific Hypnotherapy Applications
Applying hypnotherapy across common presenting issues

Learn the application of hypnotherapy across a range of presenting concerns, including sleep, weight management, habits, fears and phobias, pain, anxiety, stress, grief, relationships, trauma-informed work, and medical-adjacent contexts. Consideration is given to scope of practice and ethical application for each area.

Introduction to counselling fundamentals, including stress physiology, brain basics, neuroplasticity, psychological awareness, and referral considerations.  Elements from evidence-based techniques models such as ACT, Mindfulness, and DBT are included to support informed practice.



Professional Practice and Therapist Well-being
Working sustainably and responsibly

Learn about professional sustainability and responsbility.  The importance of therapist well-being, supervision, ethical responsibility, professional boundaries, and practical considerations such as client documentation, clinic setup, and maintaining appropriate professional standards.



Bridging training into real-world practice
Transitioning from training to professional practice

Guidance is provided on establishing and developing a hypnotherapy practice.  Areas include creating recordings, understanding modern mentoring support, and bridging training into real-work professional application.





Meet The Trainer - Hana Zawodny

Hana is a clinical hypnotherapist, Master NLP practitioner, and is NLP instructor-trained, and experienced transformational coach with a professional background in human resources (HR) and corporate environments.

Her work is grounded in a deep understanding of human behaviour, professional responsibility, and the realities of working with people in high-trust settings.  Drawing on her experience in HR and coaching, Hana brings a structured, people-centred approach to training that supports ethical decision-making, therapeutic presence, and confident clinical application.

Alongside her corporate experience, Hana holds qualifications in clinical hypnotherapy, Advanced Hypnotherapy and Neuro-linquistic programming, including NLP instructor training, with additional training in trauma-informed and client-centred approaches.  Her teaching sytle emphasises integration over technique accumulation, supporting practitioners to apply subconscious change work safely, effectively, and responsibly.

Within the Diploma, Hana's role focuses on practitioner development, clinical readiness, and supporting trainees to translate learning into real-world client work with clarity, confidence, and professional integrity.
